Madrogno is the name of this plant in Portugal, in English called strawberry tree (nothing to do with strawberries). The fruits are a bit prickly and red when not ripe and deep yellow when they are ripe. The small landscape above the still life is the valley where I found this shrubby Madrogno tree in Portugal.
