Adriana van Zoest explains the creation and motives for her latest paintings with animals presented in the exhibition Post Mortem at the Drents Museum.

The animal is displayed in each painting as a monument to the future. The immortalization of the animals refers to the title of the exhibition Post Mortem. They stay with us so that they have become immortal as it were.
